At least 11 people have been killed and 33 others injured after a passenger bus collided with a truck in Pakpattan district of Punjab.

According to police and rescue officials, the accident occurred on Thursday. Rescue teams worked for several hours to remove passengers trapped inside the wreckage.

The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, where emergency services were activated to provide immediate medical assistance.

President Asif Ali Zardari expressed grief over the loss of lives and extended condolences to the victims' families.
