Islamabad (Bolta PakistanHD  Online): Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar stated that an emergency has been imposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by invoking the powers granted under Articles 232 and 234 of the Constitution.

According to the private TV channel Geo News, Azam Nazeer Tarar—addressing a press conference alongside Federal Ministers Mohsin Naqvi and Attaullah Tarar—said that an emergency has been declared in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He explained that the Cabinet advised the Prime Minister to formally recommend this action to the President in accordance with constitutional procedure. The decision to impose the emergency was made after considering the underlying circumstances; the Interior Minister will elaborate on the background that necessitated this measure.
