The cause of death for renowned Indian film actor Nana Patekar has been revealed in the post-mortem report. According to the report, the 75-year-old actor suffered a heart attack caused by a blood clot lodged in a major artery. Doctors made strenuous efforts to save him, but despite administering CPR for 45 minutes, they were unable to save his life.
According to *India Today*, a senior doctor at the Goa Medical College and Hospital stated on Sunday that the post-mortem report identified the cause of Nana Patekar's death as a heart attack resulting from a blood clot in a major artery.According to the report, a blood clot had lodged in the heart's left main coronary artery. This artery supplies blood to a large portion of the heart; therefore, a blockage in it can prove fatal. The medical report attributes this condition to a disease involving the accumulation of fat in the arteries, leading to their narrowing or blockage. According to doctors, the death occurred due to natural causes.
Nana Patekar was transferred to a private hospital from his residence in the Dona Paula area of Goa in the early hours of October 8. Hospital doctors stated that an ambulance was summoned by his caretaker after the actor fell ill. His residence was located less than a kilometer away from the hospital.
