Pakistan's federal government has announced another reduction in petrol and high-speed diesel prices, providing some relief to consumers and transport operators.
According to the latest announcement, petrol prices have been reduced by Rs. 6.59 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs. 346 per litre. High-speed diesel has also become cheaper by Rs. 4.25 per litre, with its new price fixed at Rs. 378.
The revised prices took effect on November 7 and are scheduled to remain applicable until November 10, 2026.
The latest reduction follows several consecutive price cuts earlier in November. Changes in international petroleum markets and associated import costs have influenced the latest revision.
Lower fuel prices may help reduce transportation expenses, although their impact on everyday commodity prices will depend on market conditions.
