Electricity consumers across Pakistan are expected to see an additional fuel cost adjustment in their November 2026 electricity bills following a decision by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).

NEPRA has approved a fuel charges adjustment of Rs. 2.3673 per unit for electricity consumed during September 2026.

The adjustment will apply to consumers of former WAPDA distribution companies and K-Electric under the uniform tariff arrangement.

The approved amount is lower than the Rs. 2.5624 per unit adjustment originally requested by the Central Power Purchasing Agency.

Certain categories, including lifeline consumers, electric vehicle charging stations and prepaid tariff customers, have been exempted.

Consumers are advised to review the fuel adjustment section of their electricity bills to understand the additional charges.
